ABOUT US
The Boo Grigsby Foundation
In 1973, Lane Grigsby started a small contracting and engineering company called Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Inc., which has grown into Cajun Industries, LLC, a nationally recognized construction leader providing a broad range of services to various markets.
In 2007, Lane decided to create a family foundation to help oversee his philanthropic interests. To date, the Boo Grigsby Foundation has made over $2,500,000 in donations to organizations and non-profits in Louisiana and nationally.
The Boo Grigsby Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that operates for the express purpose of giving financial support to charitable organizations that serve the communities of Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana, as well as national organizations. The foundation supports many different types of organizations and is always looking for new ways to support our
communities.
Communities Served
The foundation focuses on supporting organizations and programs in Baton Rouge as well as other communities in Louisiana. Sometimes money is given to national organizations that have an influence but are not based in Louisiana. On occasion support is given to national organizations with no local affiliation.
Areas of Support
Education and Medical/Health issues are the two areas supported most by the foundation. We also give support in the areas of community development, arts and humanities, the environment, and human services. We are always open to new ways to support our communities.
How We Operate
The board of the Boo Grigsby Foundation meets quarterly to review grant requests. Our fiscal year is October 1st through September 30th. The board votes on complete grant requests only. You will be notified once we receive your completed request as well as when a decision is made.
